The V-2, also known as the A4, is the ancestor of modern space rockets. It was developed during the Second World War for the German army by a team of scientists and engineers led by Wernher von Braun. Carrying a one-ton warhead at supersonic speeds, the V-2 could not be intercepted and descended on its targets without warning. Over 5,000 were built, most being fired at the cities of London and Antwerp. Both the Soviet Union and the United States employed German V-2 experts after the war, resulting in the development of such rockets as the Scud missile used in the Gulf War and the Saturn V that sent the first people to the moon.

This model builds into an accurate 1:32 scale replica of the V-2. The completed model has a height of over 17 inches (43cm). Two versions are available, featuring either a 3-colour camouflage scheme or a black and white test pattern.

You will need a colour printer capable of handling card or cover stock to print the parts sheets. 67 lb cover stock (approx 8.5 thousandths of an inch or 0.2 mm thick) is recommended.
